Paramount Hotel

Originally built in 1928, the Paramount Hotel has a storied history, having showcased top entertainers in its Diamond Horseshoe nightclub. In 1986, under the artistic direction of Ian Schrager, the Paramount underwent a significant renovation that repositioned the Property as a boutique hotel.

The 597-room Paramount Hotel is an institutional quality boutique hotel located in the heart of the Times Square Theater District, with convenient access to Midtown Manhattan’s main leisure and corporate areas. The Property, which was built in1928 and most recently renovated in 2009, is primarily positioned as a transient hotel catering to both domestic and international leisure and corporate transient clientele.

Four years following the 1986 renovation, Ian Schrager further transformed the Hotel, creating a cutting-edge and modern lobby experience to contrast the stylish and elegant feel of the rest of the public areas, including the food and beverage outlets on the mezzanine level. As the Hotel has long played host to the artistic expressions of Ian Schrager, the opportunity now exists to revive the Hotel’s celebrated past and bring a new creative vision to the Paramount.

The Paramount’s recently-renovated 597 guestrooms, including nine suites, featurecontemporary furnishings and minimalist design elements based on a white, gray and red color scheme. All guestrooms are equipped with wireless high-speed internet, LCD televisions, iPod docking stations, premium bedding and modern bathrooms featuring showers and stainless steel sinks. There are two standard-size SRO units in the building which have the potential to be reclaimed as part of the guestroom inventory in the future. Additionally, there are two newly-designed, loft-inspired entertainment suites featuring chic and modern furnishings and an aesthetically pleasing white color palette. The suites concurrently generate additional revenue serving as social catering space for photo-shoots and other small gatherings.
