980 Madison Avenue

980 Madison Avenue is a landmark Upper East Side property with deep roots in New York’s cultural and commercial fabric. Originally designed in 1949 by Walker & Poor as the Parke-Bernet auction house, the building evolved into one of Madison Avenue’s most prominent gallery destinations, long anchored by Larry Gagosian.

In 2024, RFR completed the sale of the property, marking a significant full-cycle investment and the building’s transition into a private institutional headquarters along Madison Avenue.
